cats
If you or they do ya might have to run a resister to fool the ECM that the CAT is still installed,,, Maybe,,, look into it,,, I know thinkgs like this was done on some race cars out there that people had removed the CAT
Can't do that anymore. You'll throw codes and won't pass inspection. It's also illegal so don't get caught. The cats these days aren't really that restrictive. You would gain maybe 5hp.
Thats why I was sayin ya might have to put a resistor there to simulate the cat being there. I do remember reading that this was done on other vehicles before to "trick" the ECM that a "CAT" was still installed.

Removing the cats would help with exhaust flow. O removed the cats from my 00 z28 when I installed headers and 3" exhaust. I had hp tuners siftware and simple turned off the codes to the computer. Not sure if superchips can do that with a hand held. If you are set on removing them and have to pass a sniff test, a dyno tuner could in theory create a volumetric efficiency mapping table to run your engine with the least amount of emissions just to pass the test. But all that is a big if. If and only if they have tunning software avail as ble for ours jeeps. So my opinion is just leave your cats alone.
