Not only will it damage other componets but if that thing breaks while driving you will have absolutly no steering control (past experience). send it back and get a new one and be sure to use the right size bolt.

Well thanks to a couple of well written threads on the subject ( Shout out to Plan man !! ). I have found the culprit.
I just set up a Flip video camera and filmed the old track bar as I cycled the steering back and forth.
Watch the video.

http://youtu.be/MJIKEVP0jxY The frame end, adjustment end of the track bar is FUBAR!
No wonder I can hardly keep it in the road!

That was a really awesome belch at 1:29. Made my dog bark.

You could always get a new bushing and just weld the shaft portion if its set where it needs to be to save a dime!

I have tightened them several times over the last few days and even unscrewed the end and put some loctite on the threads and jam nut.
It just won't stay tight. I guess the threads are screwed.
I will just let it set until the new one comes in.

That was a pretty good idea, you can see the problem plain as day.

WOW!!! Good idea to discover the problem. Now don't drive it, fix it. Pretty scary to think what could happen if that let go on the highway.
