Default CB Mounting Location

Does anyone have a CB mounted in their JK yet? The only location I have seen is in the roof. I would like to stay away from that, but dont know any other good areas to locate one. Any ideas or pictures please post.

Thanks,

CHR

I mounted a small cobra under the dash on passenger side where the plastic panel comes off... I cant see it but the mike is on the dash....... I used a mirror mount bracket with the two holes not four and mounted it to the bottom drivers side of the 3rd brake light housing for the antenna... The coax cable ran through the rubber gromet behind spare tire into the tailgate..... My four foot antena clears my garage........ No pics cause camera fell into toilet.. Dont ask!!!!!!!! Good luck

I mounted mine (as a temporary solution until the overhead consoles are available) behind the center console in the rear passenger space. The problem with this solution is it prevents the riht half of the rear seat from folding. Oh, well. Hurry up over head consoles!

That will also keep your cokes from tipping over!

I just removed the panel under the glove box. I tie wrapped the cb mount to the bar running under panel so I didn't have to drill anything. Mic just lays in front of shifter for now. Wife says cb doesn't get in her way.

I plan on mounting mine inside the glove box, Its small enough it'll fit, I'll just have to drill holes in the bottom for wires

It is a bad picture, but I just put mine on the pass side, there is even a bolt already there in the center console.
