I got the Cobra with the unit in the hand piece. Mounted it below the console lid, just behind the parking brake. Mounted the actual box under the passenger seat. Its easy to get to and yet sort of hidden. I mounted the whip to the passenger side rear wheel well, just behind the roll bar and then bent it along the roll bar with black zipties. Works great and unless your looking for it you dont even know I have a cb. Less temptation for your local thug idiots.

Check What I got it is like to Handheld cobra but you can use it aslo as a portable unit. Best thing of all, ìt is not hard to install and you can take it away easily. Take time to look for all information. You can see the car kit in the spec sheet or in the user manual. I got one and I'm very happy with it.

Midland Mobile Handheld CB 75-822

It's not a perfect 1 Din unit, but I think the Cobra 18 WXSTII unit is. With a front fire speaker it would be an easy mount. I also did this because I wanted a USB port on my FM radio.

I like that. Very clean. I am using the Cobra so it is all in the handheld, but that is very nice install.

I have my Uniden Pro with PA mounted here. It did require a 90 degree elbow on the back for the antenna.

Not sure how to post a picture so I tried an attachment. If it doesn't work I'll try again.

How does the hand held unit work for you, do you like it? I think I'd like that because I could stash it in the center console when I wasn't using it.

I mounted mine above the mirror. I wasn't sure if I would like it but it works out great. It's there when you need it and otherwise out of the way.

I had several of these stainless brackets laying around that I used for a attena mount

and I couldn't resist the PA speaker under the hood $11.95 at the local truck stop
