Centering front axle
Ok, so here is the story back while I was deployed my wife had a lift installed and then she went through the DW issue really bad. She took it to many mech. and what they ended up doing was taking off the RC track bar bracket and leaving the drop pitman arm on, which through the steering geometry way off. So today I put the rough country track bar bracket on my jeep due to the steering geometry being way off. The track bar was at a much steeper angle. So after having to shortening the adj. track bar and re-installing It I measure the axle to see how far off of center I was and it showed about a 1/4" off, will this cause me any problems being off a little?
After installing a lift it is best to have an adjustable track bar. Being offset could cause the esp system to get upset, otherwise you probably won't even notice it as long as the alingment is good.
The lift has been on the Jeep now for about 7 months, it is just now I am getting to get to it, I had to have surgery as soon as I got back from deployment and I am now at Ft. Leonard Wood with the Wounded Warrior Transition unit. The Jeep seems to drive fine down the road and no issues with the ESP. The wife had that problem to while I was gone and a member here on the forum had my wife bring it by and he fixed it for her. I am getting ready to drive it back to Ft. Leonard Wood tonight which is about 160 miles, so I will find out if there are going to be any major problems then. I am going to keep my fingers crossed.
