Changing Shocks?
How hard is it to change shocks it looks like the rear would take a matter of minuets but the front is my concern, is there anything special u have to do other than jack it up and pull the front tires off? Does it take a special size socket to take the top nut off of the shock? Any input would help and rear as well is it just a matter of jacking up and unbolting the top and bottom bolt then replacing the shock?
I just changed mine out for Bilstein 5100s. The process is very simple. No jacking up, taking tires off, or using unusual tools. The rears are really easy and the fronts are fairly simple. Just turn the wheel all the way to one side so you can access the shocks easier. PM me if you have any other questions. Here are some pics.
Get a ratcheting wrench with flexible head to make it easier to get to the top old on the front shock. Have also red here some where that some people trim the plastic near this bolt on the 2012's.
