Default Changing Tires and Wheels

Sorry if there's already a thread abouth this but I currently have the 18'' Sahara wheels and tires and acquired someone's used 17'' Rubicon wheels and tires. I was looking to put the new wheels on myself is there anything that could cause me trouble?

I'm just swapping out tire sets, how does TPMS work when switching different OEM tires? Any info is much appreciated.

No problem. Same crappy TPMS on the X, sahara or rubi

The TPMS is part of the wheel not the tire. Since you are using factory wheels (only diameter is different), they work just fine.

Others do it just to run a smaller wheel to get better off road bead protection.

You should have no problems at all.

The only advice that I would give it do it safely. Use a good jack (floor jack is easiest), and buy yourself a good torque wrench. Torque the lug nuts when you first install them, and then again after about 60 miles worth of driving.

X2 on proper torque specs and especially re-torque after 50 to 100km especially with alloy rims...seen to many wheels fly off.
