Default Charge Macbook Pro in jeep?

I dont have the normal plug outlet in my jk and was wondering if there was another way I can charge my Laptop in the jeep? Maybe some type of plug into the cig lighter that converts to a normal 3 prong? The thing is, I need to upload all my video onto the computer when overlanding to keep enough memory to keep recording. its a lot cheaper than buying 10 60$ memory cards. Also I can use the lap top get a satelite view of where I am at.

You can use a 3 prong inverter, they are cheap. I run the game cube and other video with one of those. You can buy them at any parts store or even walmart.

Check that out. There are a lot of different types out there. You plug it into the 12V cigarette lighter. I've used them before on roadtrips for things like playstations and TVs in the back of mini-vans. They work pretty well.

Buy a small inverter that plugs into your cig lighter outlet from most any automotive or department store. Just consult the power requirements on the computer charger and match up the appropriate size inverter. I have one that I leave in the Jeep console at all times and can recharge just about anything that requires 120 vac. It will be about a $50 or $60 investment that can be used for so many things. Someone on this forum even mounted his in the console so the receptacle was facing the back seat and the inverter was mounted in the bottom of the console.

Go to wal mart, about $20 dollars. Usually near the car batteries.

Pretty sure Apple makes a 12V power cord for the Macbook. That's your best bet. I'd only use a $20 square-wave inverter for something that didn't cost much more than the inverter.
