I agree. But it seems as if some here wouldn't even understand super chargers or turbos

operate differently, deliver power differently and cost nearly the same.

Do they force more air into the engine- or is it only colder air?

They are "air pumps" that force more air into the engine. The difference is the way the way they "power" the pumps. A supercharger is connected mechanically to the engine to power it. Usually by a belt drive. A turbocharger uses the exhaust to power one end of a shaft to run a compressor at the other end of the shaft.

No they force pure bread horses into the air conditioning system.

this, and SC's typically start producing power early in the rpm range as compared to a turbo. The only "cold" air you get is ambient temp air drawn from outside the engine bay. When you see an inter cooler, it is an exchanger that helps to "cool" the incoming air as compressed air is hot and inefficient. Even in inter cooler doesn't always get the air temp back down to the ambient air temps. All depends on the design and set up. You can also have varying pressure levels which higher pressure creates more power, and as you might have guessed by now, higher incoming temp air requiring a more efficient inter cooler.

The rest is either for cosmetic or sound improvements. All will divert your funds from the stuff you really need, like armor and suspension.
thanks for all the feedback, I think I'll start with the flash tuner and go from there.

Cheapest power upgrade I've ever found is a simple diet.

Take off hard top, take out back seat, ditch spare tire, remove doors if you can, leave the 50 lb HiLift and all your tools at home.

Guarantee your Jeep will accelerate faster and feel nimble by comparison.

If you really want it to feel fast, lose the 90 lb off road mud tires and throw some Sahara take off tires/wheels on there.
