Default Rugged Ridge Synthetic Air Filter 17752.05

I installed the Rugged Ridge Synthetic Air Filter 17752.05 which is a Dry Filter and use a Super chips flashpaq - definitely better (smoother) throttle response. As many have already stated HP cost money! And most are not to concerned about it. You can consider weight reduction, which is free

Weight reduction ain't cheap bro! You have to buy the stock stuff to put back! It was sold when we all had a boner to upgrade and swore it would never be stock again!

I here ya, was referring to your spare tire (if you only drive local), seats if you don't use them. If you are in the SC area, might could help you with putting back to stock free Have the bumpers, shocks, springs etc that are taking up space. The tuner I mentioned has a gas saver tune with 87. Just some ideas but really, keep it stock if you don't want mileage to suffer. With stock - ensure proper maintaining and tire pressures. This will keep mileage respectable. In all honesty, each mod I have put on, the average mileage has gone down a bit With the superchip, your fuel is maximized with air/fuel adjustments if you can keep your foot off the accelerator.

Hence the term "increase in horse power"
Horses are expensive so you could try cats or raccoons. Less gains but still an improvement

I actually LMMFAO! It was a good one I must say. I'm in the same boat with power loss, so I feel the OP. I don't know if I wanna spend the money on a SC. Might get the RIPP headers and tuner and call it done!

For those of you that have a programmer/tuner that allows to read the Intake Air temp (IAT) Check the temp.
I have the superchip. It was reading 135-145*F Air temp going in. After Installing the AEV Snorkel the temp drop 10 -15 F Above the outside temp. Now, when the temp outside is 85*F the IAT reads 95-100F a big temp drop from before. The jeep does feel a lot more responsive and the gas mileage improve 1-2 mpg on the highway.
