Default Cheap step bars - no drillling

Ok, so I got my 3" lift and 35s put on my 2dr X (pics this evening) and I totally misjudged how hard it would make getting in and out of the jeep. Originally I was thinking this for my GF but now I'm starting to feel it. So I really need to get some cheap black step bars and I really don't want to have to drill. I don't want to drill because I would eventually like to switch to rock rails and don't want an extra set of holes at that time.

I've done a bit of research and found that there's a couple different bars out there, not too expensive.

JC Whitney brand
Rugged Ridge
Garage Pro
Smittybilt

So is there anyone out there that has any of these installed on a 2dr? And is there any drilling required? Thanks in advance!!

Smittybilt has my vote.. I have had their nerf bars on all my trucks and they are great.. I am waiting on their rock sliders for the JK now.. But I saw their nerf's on Ebay for like $186.00

yep, i've seen the smittybilt ones on ebay so thats definitely an option.

the little strap/loop i dont' think will work. i might as well roll out a rope ladder

hey TOAD. what rock rails are those? i don't think i've seen those before. i really would like to go straight to rock rails but $$$ is holding me back. so maybe i'll look at that strap/loop thingy again.

thanks guys!

I got the Smitty's from eBay for my 4-dr. They look and function well and I have no complaints.

Smittybilts work just fine. No drilling, pretty secure to stand on. I wouldn't jack with them, but then again, I don't do a lot of hi lift jacking anyway. Probably get the wheel attachment after I get the hi lift after I start going so far offroad I need one.

My vote for Smittybilt SRC bars...no drilling and very sturdy. Installed mine a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier...not to mention under 200 bucks!

I'll second that.

You can find them on Ebay for under$200 shipped.
