I didn't have to go through this, but my understanding is that if the Hypertech does not recognize your vehicle software version, it instructs you to reconnect it to the computer (before you connect it to the JK you need to connect it up to your computer so that it can call home and verify it's software is current, etc) so that it can report the problem. From there, you're supposed to receive an e-mail within a few days to a couple weeks telling you to reconnect the Hypertech because your software version is now available. Is this what you mean that you e-mailed Hypertech? Or, did you not get (or not follow) instructions to reconnect the Hypertech to a PC? How long has it been since you've contacted Hypertech?

Thanks for the clarification, SLeepY_BoY. I think that some folks have taken up to a couple weeks to get their update. Of course, once they get that update done, it's then immediately available for all JKs with that same firmware version. I hope they get you fixed up pretty quick; be sure to return and let us know how it went!

Hypertech does not work on the 09's as of yet. I purchased a unit this afternoon, hooked it up and got an error. Contacted Hypertech and sure enough the 09's are a no go. Gonna wait till they get things setup then try again.
