Don't know since I don't have an auto JK, but on my other modern Chrysler it will lock in gears lower than OD when the OD is turned off.

Hope your brother was allright

I'm on the phone right now with chrysler and my 08 rubi qualifies for the J30 and J24 recalls. I'm sending them my invoice from Northridge on my 5.13 R&P set to see if they'll reimburse me.

i wonder if it would be a good idea to wait for the 2011's to come out and just trade my 2009 in at that time. Not do any gearing now etc and just wait for those and then do everything I want for mods then.

Will do. I have a feeling they're going to give me a hard time with the install reimbursement seeing as how I haven't done it yet, I just have a repair order estimate. At the very least I'm demanding reimbursement for the gears which are sitting in my garage. I don't see how a "Hot OIL" light is a solution to their transmission problems, it's just an indicator (literally) that a problem exists and you need to pull over for 30min....which in my book is NOT a solution.

Can anybody send me a copy of your reciepts?
I installed my BnM, BUT it is one I had bought about 8 years ago for a 2002 Jeep Liberty
and never got to install it, now it is on my Rubi, installed it 2 weekes ago.

How much was it for install? I did it my self....

That would be fraud and its just wrong! They won't reimburse you for parts you just had lying around. Additionally I believe they are only paying for installations done BEFORE they made the official recall.
