The 2011 JK's that will be coming with the new V6 will most likely also get a 5 or 6 speed auto trans, which should fix the issue of poor gearing. Its that huge jump between 3rd and 4th gears that the current 4sp has that causes a lot of the issues. Since the torque converter doesnt lock in 3rd gear, only 4th. A modern auto will typically lock from 2nd gear on.
Hope your brother was allright
I'm on the phone right now with chrysler and my 08 rubi qualifies for the J30 and J24 recalls. I'm sending them my invoice from Northridge on my 5.13 R&P set to see if they'll reimburse me.

Will do. I have a feeling they're going to give me a hard time with the install reimbursement seeing as how I haven't done it yet, I just have a repair order estimate. At the very least I'm demanding reimbursement for the gears which are sitting in my garage. I don't see how a "Hot OIL" light is a solution to their transmission problems, it's just an indicator (literally) that a problem exists and you need to pull over for 30min....which in my book is NOT a solution.
Can anybody send me a copy of your reciepts?
I installed my BnM, BUT it is one I had bought about 8 years ago for a 2002 Jeep Liberty
and never got to install it, now it is on my Rubi, installed it 2 weekes ago.
How much was it for install? I did it my self....

That would be fraud and its just wrong! They won't reimburse you for parts you just had lying around. Additionally I believe they are only paying for installations done BEFORE they made the official recall.
