Default Cleaning wheel studs?

I did a search and did not come up with anything....I installed spidertrax spacers. I did not know about the rotor clips, so I am going to pull wheels back off and make sure they are all removed. I did read instructions and there were none on first wheel so I thought they were good, but after seeing pic of them, I know I have them on at least 1 wheel still..... Ok now question, it says to start process from beginning but make sure wheel studs are cleaned off. I put red thread locker on like instructed. What do I use to clean the studs?????

Hope all this makes sense. Typing on phone at work, because they block site on my work computer. Thanks

All I did was remove the little clips then a small wire brush to remove any stuff stuck in the threads.

Clean them off good with some adhesive remover. I snapped a stud taking a bolt off when there was some loctite still sitting on the stud before putting the bolt on.

I used a wire wheel on my cordless drill to lightly clean up the dried loctite

I just removed my spidertrax two days ago and I used a dental pick to remove the dried locktite from the threads and then just sprayed the remaining residue with lacquer thinner. dried them off and they were clean and the lug nuts when on easily after that.

Thanks for all the replies........disassembled, cleaned and put them back together. I took off all the star washers, there was a total of 12. I feel much better about getting it done right. Thanks again
