Default Clicking in steering wheel...

For a while now I've been feeling a click in the steering wheel. It is not an audible noise but a click that you can feel on the steering wheel and also through the gas pedal. Has anyone else had this going on with there ride before or might know what it could be? Thought it might go away once I got my lift installed but it is still there. Anything info will help.

Did yours come with it when you got your JK or did it just start happening after something?

I have the same issue and it drives me crazy. I think I isolated it down to the steering gearbox. If you follow the steering shaft down down to where it enters the gearbox and turn it....it has quite a bit of play. Really not sure how to fix it though. I tried turning the allen screw on top and tightening it up, and it did but the free play is still there. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in.

I have the same thing too. I've had it since I purchased the jeep it had 20,000 miles. I have installed a 2.5 in. Lift since but it is still there. I also have a wobble around 54 mph. No clue what it is. I am around 50,000 miles now so I guess its safe. Do you guys have a wobble to?

If you look up "steering clunk" on here, you'll see a TON of info on the noise you're hearing/feeling.

I'm plagued by it :( Had it for at least 60K miles now. It comes and goes, but haven't really found a good way to permanently fix it yet.

EDIT: To be honest, much of what was said was covered here already. - Clunk in steering that you can hear and feel. - Greasing the intermediate steering shaft helps dampen it for some. - Likely play in the steering boxes that is causing it.
