This can happen to stockers as well as modified. Just check your u joints to make sure you are not missing any caps and while you are down there inspect the clips to make sure they are still there. If you need more info this has been talked about a lot on this forum, and with pics. Just a quick search will turn up what you need to look for.

x3 on checking the shocks. I threw a insulator bushing on my factory rubi shocks on a very mild trail. it was definitely a metallic noise that was pretty loud when hitting any bump in the road. Also, how's the wheelin down there in Scottsdale? Got offered a job down there and I'm at least going to come check it out

I just cured mine today, it was actually the lower shock mount was loose. I guess that was the one thing overlooked when I did my lift. There is always something
