Default Clunk and Clank sounds

So past couple of weeks everytime I go over a bump the front of my jeep makes a clunk/clank noise. What's the problem? Bad shocks or springs? Steering linkage? Thanks for the help!

First thing i would check is the sway bar links, make sure the bolts are tight at both ends. I had the same noise and noticed one of them was a bit loose, tightened it up and no more clanking.
If they are tight then get under the Jeep and push it up and down to see if anything is loose or making that noise
Also have someone turn the wheel back and forth while under the Jeep to see if theres any play in the trackbar or tie rod ends

Now I know that the tie rod is to have some play but how much play because in my opinion it seems pretty darn loose?

I get the same clank. My tie rod arm is very easy to rotate up and down so I'm thinking it's that just bouncing up and clanking down.
Can't find anything else loose anywhere

This is what I am thinking to! But I don't want that to lead to further problems. I just peaked under my jeep and I have noticed that my steering stabilizer is slightly leaking:/. I'm going to jump under there tonight and see if all is nice and tight or not.

One more question? Could the shocks or suspension be going out or is this totally different?

Shocks will clunk too if the bushings are shot. You can just get under the Jeep laying on the ground and push up and down on the bumper while watching the shock bushings. Mine were moving up and down noticeably on the bolt and making noise too.
After replacing I still had a clank.
Sway bar heims are tight no movement ball joints are good so the onlu thing moving that I can make clank is the tie rod and it's super easy to rotate and when you do rotate it down it makes what sounds to me like he exact sound I'm hearing

Welcome to the dreaded steering clunk. search steering clunk and start reading. people have come up with alot of theorys as to what causes it from greasing the steering shaft, to aftermarket shafts, to total steering replacements. What works for some doesnt work for everyone. I have had it for 3 years and I hate it but have come accustom to the clunk
Hopefully you find something loose and it all clears up but I am thinking that is not going to happen

Just as an idea of how far I have gone, I have greased the steering shaft, then i used some metal and put pressure on the steering slip joint to maybe help bind it up, I have been through two lifts even going as far as to go long arm to get rid of stock components, 3 different track bars, three different sway bar setups, 2 types of ball joints, tie rod ends, drag link ends, drag link flip, track bar brackets. Thats all that has come to mind off the top of my head. I hope you get better luck than I have had
