Clutch material in transmission dealer wont warranty.
I purchased my JKU Sport Auto in 2013 on April 20th. The jeep is a weekend warrior at best as I have a company truck to do with as I please. The jeep has 15,600 miles on it and after a recent wheeling trip two days later the transmission will not allow me to go over 30-35 without giving out.... I have to shift into neutral, slow down to below 20ish and then shift back into drive...
I have a 3.5" lift, Bfg 35"km2s and some auxilary lights.
The dealer said they found transmission fluid with clutch material in it.... The tranny wasn't broken, damaged from the exterior, or filled with water or mud.
Recap...
Not even two years old, under 16k miles, bought new and no gearing or driveline mods...
They will not warranty....
Im aware that an arbitration agreement was signed, however, I have contacted my lawyer regarding the matter and will be following up with Chysler Corp via the corporate rep.
Any pointers from those that have dealt with refused warranty claims?

That sounds like Bullshit service to me! I think you will win this one easily. You should not have to go through the hassle, good luck.
What gear ratio are you running? 3.21 or 3.73. Have you installed an auxiliary trans cooler? Just curious as they may point to the extra strain of running the larger tires especially if you have 3.21s. I wish you good luck in getting it fixed under warranty especially with so few miles on it.
As stated above, the extra strain put on the driveline by the larger tires is what they are going to point to. Especially if you didn't regear they are going to say that the transmission is now going have torque converter lock up happen differently blah, blah, blah. Honestly I don't see you winning this one. You might get Chrysler to help out or lower the price but I don't see this getting warrantied. Once the vehicle is modified, the dealership warrantying anything really seems to be a crap shoot. One thing I would suggest is not to get a lawyer involved right off the bat. It tends to slow things down and most manufacturers have their people trained to say no to everything once you mention that you will be proceeding with a law suit against them. I would call customer service and see if you can get some help from them. Maybe you can get them to do it under warranty or maybe they can spilt the cost with you. If your okay with that I would take that option. But if you truly do want it under warranty you will have to file against them at that time. You will also be able to show in court that you followed a good protocol before jumping straight to taking them to court. Best of luck to you, let us know how it turns out.
