Default Coast Driveshaft Install Issue?

I had just installed my coast driveshafts 2 days ago. After about 100 miles i had no issues. The next day i put on about 400. When i got home i parked it and when i came out about 2 hours later i found this. What could i have done wrong? This picture is on the front driveshaft

Seals bad. How did you torque the yoke bolt down

Anytime you remove a yoke it is a good idea to replace the seal. It can get kind of set and then when you reinstall the yoke it is forced to move which can cause that. Be sure to put some grease on the lips of the seal that the yoke will ride on even if there is some there out of the box. Also if that shaft has the double cardon cv joint check it often and if it has a grease joint then grease it at every oil change to save your tcase.

I just installed that same driveline. Yes, it is a good idea to replace the seal, I decided not to, by the time I got that far I was a little to sloshed to go get one.

Its a real easy swap. Pull the yoke, and the use a seal puller to get the old seal out. Be careful not to mar the housing or it will leak forever. To install, if you have a seal punch, use it. If not, drape a rag over the seal and LIGHTLY tap it in place with a hammer, working your way around until it is in place.
