Default coating for synergy baja basket

I ordered a Synergy Baja Basket for the extra storage space and also to hide my subwoofer enclosure. I ordered it uncovered and am now considering what coating to run with... I prefer for it to blend and look as stock as possible. Ideas thus fare are:

1. Return it and get the black powder coated version (add $100 plus return shipping cost). Plus, it might be too shiny and attract attention (which is the opposite of what I'm looking for)

2. cover it with herculiner. Very durable and it really matches my interior (I have the bedtred interior installed). However, I don't know how hard it would be to apply an even texture through all the nooks and crannys it has.

3. spray on liner... not sure about texture, adhesion and durability.

Any advice, recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would spray it. Duplicolor bed armour or rustoleum truckbed coating. Just clean, prime, and spray. Focus on covering lightly first the nooks and crannies before trying to get coverage all over. Just hang and spray. I would prime and spray let dry. Wait a day or so and hang it from different points and do it again for the finale.hope that help that's what I'd do.

I'd recommend Rustoleum over Duplicolor, it has a finer texture which would probably work better for the basket. They're cheap enough you could buy a can of each and test it out.
