Coilovers?
I am about to do king coilovers in the front and im stuck between a couple things.
first if a reservoir is need and then
the height adjust ablity between a 12 inch coilover and a 14 inch coilover
I plan on running 2.0 springs but i do not want to run way to high.
Any help is thanked

I have 12" coil overs in front with them set a low as possible it's about 4" to 5" lift over stock.I assume if you get 14" it would raise that by 2" The new Kings have a oil reservoir that is adj I would love to have that. You do need the extra oil in the reservoir mine get so hot you can't touch them after a hard run.

Whats the benefit of running coilovers? I've seen a video from a jeep wayoflife posted with coilovers and it was the smoothest suspension I've ever seen are the mainly for higher speeds? I had kings on a tacoma but it was already a coilover so maybe I didn't get the full effect.

What springs are you running in the rear.
and bigT the benefits are greater amounts of travel in suspension or flex and they ride much better than just coil springs

I also have King coil-overs in the rear.Don't do a lot of rock crawling but I can.Built it to run down the Baja peninsula.

I run the 12" King Coilovers front and rear with an additional 2.5" triple bypass. As "Ronson" posted the 12" coilover when set at it's lowest point is about equal to a 4" lift, with the ability to probably raise the lift height to twice that amount. The trend for rockcrawling is still leaning towards coilover because if the tunability of the system, and if you like running fast over bumps, add the bypass shocks for even more control. If you are thinking of coilovers, definitely spring for the external reservoir system, look at it as cheap insurance up front.
On a side note, since there is usually some crossover technology we benefit from, the desert racing crowd is starting to move toward running only bypass shocks, huge 3.5"-4.5" Four way bypass, with internal reservoir, and no coilovers at all. search youtube for King 3.5"-4.5" shock testing for some shock education
