Default Coils or Spacers

Ok guys, kinda new to Jeep...I've had my 2009 jku for about two years now and i'm ready to do some mods. I have several things in mind but i'm going to start with a lift and tires. Now that i've got about 24k on the stockers, I can justify to myself replacing and moving forward now.

So, here's what I need help with. I plan to run 33 12.50's (maybe 34's) on the factory wheels with spacers. And i'm going to go with Teraflex for my lift. I'm really just wanting a leveling kit but torn between a spacer kit and a coil kit. I want the best ride performance between the two as cost is not much different. (and I don't want to lift any higher because of my garage door height)

Can you guys give me your thought between the two, please? And do you recommend any suspension add ons to go with it?

Thanks in advance for you help!

I like the 34's and a 2 - 2.5" spacer lift. The spacer kit will keep your Jeep's ride nearly identical. If you go with the TeraFlex 2.5" spacer lift you should include the rear track bar bracket. I believe the kit comes with it now. Toyo makes a nice 34" 285/75R17. AEV makes a nice 2" spacer lift.

I am waiting for my 2012 to arrive. I believe I am going with the Toyo's and the AEV 2".

Which option to get really depends on what your definition of a good ride quality is. If youre interested in maintaining the stock ride quality go with the kit with shock extensions, and if you want to stiffen that suspension up get the kit with the new shocks. Ride quality is mostly determined by your shocks. I have high pressure gas shocks mated to my 1.75" spacer kit and i feel every bump in the road, which is the way i like it.

I'm a big fan of the Toyo MT's, will probably be the tire I get.

As far as my definition of good ride...I guess I would have to say an improved stock?!? If that makes any sense. My issue with the coil kit is i'm afraid it will make it ride like the proverbial log wagon. I have been leaning toward a spacer kit with new shocks but wanted to get some feedback on the coil kit.

On another note, with say 2" front 1" rear, any issues with brake lines?

Most lift kits come with relocation brackets but with that mild of a lift I doubt it will. Usually brake lines get relocation brackets at 3" and up and for "extreme" flex lifts new lines. But for 2" front 1" rear you should be fine. You could always get relocation brackets from Teraflex if you wanted. But I don' think you will need them with that height change.

As stated earlier, what you get depends on you. With just spacers, you shouldn't see a change in ride quality. If you go with a budget boost like the Teralex, the shocks with that kit ride better than stock.

I installed 2"spacers front and rear and had no trouble with brake lines

I asunder you have all four, the hardware, and they are not broken :-) How much you want for them?
