Default Cold air induction

Hey guys. I'm thinking about putting a cai into my new wrangler. It's a 2013 2dr sport with an auto transmission. I'm curious which brand to go with? I'm trying to boost my horsepower and mpg's. any suggestions would be a great help.

Are you looking for an intake that takes in cold air from outside the engine bay?

Honestly, they are all just a filter on a stick, and all do the same job. None of them are a true cold air that draws air from outside the vehicle, besides a snorkel. I personally would go with a high flow drop in filter and be done.

Don't do it bro. I've had awful experiences with them in the past. It's minimal if any proformance gain. The new motor is already finely tuned for high output out of a small motor. It will just make it sound slightly better when you really step on it.

IMO, for what you're going to spend on a CAI, the gains are minimal at best. There are plenty of threads on the site about peoples experiences with various CAIs, I suggest you do a little searching and reading before dropping the cash.

Wow I'm surprised. I thought the cold air inductions made a noticeable difference after installed. Between the responsiveness at the pedal and an increase in mpg's. Now I don't know what to do. I will probably just hold off on them now.

CAIs have been voted the number one waste of money on several forums, including this one, right above number two, throttle body spacers...save your money for something good.

I would go with a programmer instead.
