Default Cold air intake

I think next step is adding a cold air intake to my 11 unlimited. Leaning towards the brute force dry filter. Any opinions? Should I also add throttle body spacer?

Save your money and keep the stock air box! You won't gain anything but noise from the Aftermarket intakes.

I would just do the intake im pretty sure (could be wrong) that the spacer is useless. Unless you want it to whistle more then the cai. I mide my intake from a spectra tube autozone and at universal k&n and some cheap sheet metal to keep the heat off the filter works great gave about 1 maybe 2 mpg sounds good though

Agree. Just get a high flow drop in filter and save your money for other mods

I put a Banks CAI in my '12 last week and I friggin' love it. Have noticed a significant increase in throttle response whether it's starting from a stop light or passing someone on the highway. And it sounds bad ass, 100% better than stock. I hit over 18mpg on average for the first time since I bought the Jeep in June... was averaging upper 16/low 17 before I installed it.

It was well worth it in my opinion. Others may have a different view and there's nothing wrong with that. But I love it and would recommend it.

I agree with saving your money. I had one for my tj and all it really did was make borla exhaust sound a little louder. I think on cool nights on the highway it felt like I had a little more power, but it could have been all in my head. I also think it made the jeep fall on it's face when taking off from a long red light on a real hot day, but that could have been all in my head too. This is my opinion and I'm sure there will be others who will tell you otherwise. I will say I had nice gains from exhaust changes but I did header, then muffler, then cat and I think the header was the most worthwhile investment performance-wise on the tj, other than gear swap.

My 08 JKU already had a Brute force CAI on it when I bought it so I can't give you before/after tips but it looks cool! Also can't really hear a louder sound either. I also have a Magnaflow exhaust and Jet chip which were already installed (bonus!)

I have an AFE CAI, and personally I like it.. Little gain in MPG but I would never get a throttle body spacer, I HATE that whistle!
