Default cold air intake or drop in

I need to change air filter on my jeep have looked at the threads but seems like everyone ends up recommending a snorkel which I don't wanna do right now. I don't go through real deep water crossings was looking at a drop in filter like afe or k&n but was wondering if doing an intake like a banks would be better. The banks looks like it would protect like stock

IMO, the gains don't justify the cost of a CAI. Get a K&N drop in.

I am running a AFE dry filter. I like that I can clean it on the trail if needed after a few days in the dust by banging it on a rock. When I want to do a more thorough cleaning, I hose it out, let it air dry, then pop it back in. No oil needed. $50.00 well spent

I have an Airaid CAI and am probably going to get rid of it and go with a K&N drop in. It is so f-ing loud that when I pull my trailer during the summer for camping, we wear hearing protection going up long hills when the rpms are up. Going to do a regear to get a power gain.

Had this filter then went to cai also AFE not much difference and lost 1-2 mpg. Going back to AFE drop in.

IMO dont do either of these.... went back to the stock air box with a amsoil ea2 airfilter. traps more dirt and dust and better gas milage
