Default cold air intake and lift

I'm going to install a 2 inch lift with 33 inch tires. I know I'm going to lose some power, but how much? To counter this I want to install a cold air intake. I read the thread on it and know that it's possible for water to get sucked through it and ruin the engine. Is a cold air intake better with the filter enclosed, like the Volant or TrueFlow? Or should I get the TrueFlow where the opening of it is off to the side?

My CAI has gotten some mud splatter on it a few times. No problem here. Just don't get the filter soaked.

if you wanna touch air intake go with snorkel, slight water forging and you end up like me with bend connecting rod.
