Default Cold Air Intake Question

2007 JK, new to me. Trying to figure something out.

It has an Airaid cold air intake--not entirely sure which one, although it is one of the more open ones.

The filter is Spectre, though.

What do I need to do to find a part number or whatever so I can get a compatible filter as a backup for when the first one needs cleaned?

the filter is cleanable as you probably already know. Best plan is to clean the filter, re-oil and put it back together. If you swap out filter, that's fine but you still have to clean the dirty one although now you have another 3500 miles to put off cleaning. Does not take but an extra 15 minutes to clean, oil re install. If ordering a replacement filter, I am sure there is a K&N filter that closely matches the size you have now.I even ordered a foam filter sock that acts as a pre-filter - it installs over the top of the existing filter. good cleaning, good luck!

I would just contact Airaid or go to their website and try to find your intake part number for a replacement filter but as mentioned it is a washable filter, you just need to find out if it is an oiled or dry filter media.

Just measure the diameter of the inlet and you can use several different brands. Summit Racings web site has some info on parts as far as sizing goes.https://www.spectreperformance.com/air-filters

I use an Airaid cleanable no oil type filter. With my Chev V8 and MAF sensor oiled filters are not good for that device. Don't expect any more perfomance from that filter other than the throaty bogging sound. All they do is allow more air if your engine gets other mods to be able to flow that extra air - then you get more power.
