whats the consensus on cold air intakes which types are best all around some suggestions thanks

Try doing a search, there are dozens of threads with hundreds of responses for useful information about all the major brands. In short, mine has offered modest improvement in throttle response but is louder (which doesn't bother me, but others hate it). If you get into water or heavy duty mud at all I wouldn't recommend one though (risk vs. reward).
