I am considering this lift kit to replace the RC 1.75" Spacer lift & shocks that I put on originally, which works well for now running my 33"s.
I have liked AEV vehicles & components ever since I met them at a MOAB at a Jeep Grand Cherokee event, when I had my 95 Grand Cherokee back in 2006. They brought a new Commander with their new lift kit they just finished.

I've been reading about their lifts and there are a few important things that I like about their lift:
- The "frequency tuned triple-rate" coils are, what I call, a progressive rate spring, along the same lines as the lowering springs I have on my Mustang. Giving me a comfortable ride when doing my DD thing and then stiffen up under load on the trails.
- The Bilstein shocks that are tuned to the springs.
- No need to relocate the exhaust.
- I'll also be upgrading to 35" tires

A couple questions for you:
Does anyone here run this setup and can share some real-world experience?
I am also thinking about buying their geometry correction brackets at the same time. Do you think it would be necessary at this lift height?

You can benefit from the geo correcting brackets at 2.5", though I'm finding I wish I had purchased 1 piece brackets....but the deal was too good to pass up when I bought them.

Jadmt runs AEV kits and swears by them.

Any lift at all benefits from caster correction. The brackets are definitely a nice addition. I've helped people install those brackets before, and the multipiece once are definitely a little frustrating as you fiddle with them. I've thought the 1-piece designs look like a better option if you're willing to pony up another $60 or so.

Lot of people like the AEV lifts. I think they charge a bit of a premium for their fancy advertising verbiage, and have a beef with a few things like using brackets to extend sway bar links rather than just replacing the links with longer ones all together, but it's not a bad lift at all.

I hadn't looked at other Geo brackets and didn't realize there were one-piece options until you mentioned it. Rancho has a one-piece bracket on sale now for around $150, JKS also has them but at $175. Both have good reviews.

Metalcloak brackets are 1-piece as well, but I think the Rancho's are the most affordable and a nice set. Keep in mind that if you ever went in a different direction (full control arms for example), you'd be able to sell those and recover most of the cost. The 2-piece sets I've had to jack with before when helping others were Rubicon Express I believe. Fitment wasn't ideal and frustrated me.

YES.. I installed this lift with Rancho GC brackets about 30 days ago on a 2013 JKU. Ride is better than Stock.. The Lift is 2.5 in PLUS.. I can recommend - we will be installing 35's in Sept on Pro Comp 7069 wheels 17 x 9. Have not been off road yet. I did use an experienced shop for the install (working on the driveway was not going to work out).
