Default Control Arms for 2.5" coil lift?

Hello Everyone,

I have been toying with the idea of putting a 2.5" coil lift on my jeep. I've narrowed it down to the RC 2.5" Coil Lift. I have a 2 door automatic X. I know that I will want some adjustable track bars but I keep reading all these posts (Sometimes there is just too much information on here ) and I keep wondering if I would need control arms with that lift. I like the way my Jeep handles in its stock form and I prefer not to change it. So whats the deal with the control arms on a 2.5" coil lift. Necessity or not? Yes or no? Or is it just a matter of personal preference. I apologize for all of my random posts. I'm still in the phase of not knowing what I want to do to my Jeep. I appreciate all of your help! This forum is a life saver!

it depends alot on what suspension you pick and what your preferances are. i have a 2.5bb from teraflex. there is a slight amount of bumsteer, but its not noticable. CAs would help but i dont see the need for them right now. usually 3" is the highest you should go without CAs.

I have the RC 2.5 progressive rate coil lift with their 2.2 shocks. No aftermarket control arms, or re-location brackets needed. Rides better then stock. Good luck.

WEll, this is just like everything else. Everyone has a different opinion.
I like the Terra Flex 2.5 coil lift. I went with TF for the support they give and the completness of the kits.

I started with the TF2.5bb. As soon as I put on a heavy bumper and winch, my front end was almost out of travel. I contacted TF and they just had the 2.5 coils out. I ordered a set. Removed my 2.5bb pucks, installed the coils all the way around and i was ready to go. I like the ride of my rubi unlimited. The ride is just a tad firmer, perhaps.

Ive got a RC 2.5" BB with the 2.2 shocks, some Unlimited Rubi springs, and a 1/2" spacer up front, and mine is pretty flighty. Im going to install my new Currie FLCAs tomorrow, so I'll let you know if its worth it or not.

EDIT: oh yea, definitely worth it. the jeep drives so much better now. well worth the $270 bucks
