Converting to longarm??
OK,,, not that I really need to for the wheeling that I currently do BUT looking at my setup in my signiture just how much converting would I have to do to go to a long arm setup? Worthwhile in the long run?
Long arms would require cutting off the stock control arm frame brackets, a new trans cross member, and 8 control arms just for starters. Search for install instructions for the many long arm kits on the market to get an idea of what's involved. I have a 4" Full-traction kit on my '09 Rubicon 4 door and love it.
Like tinglima said, You need to cut your factory mounts off
On the two door its a big difference in ride quality from short to long arm.
We offer the long arm upgrade that consists of frame brackets, all 8 control arms, cross member and skid plate. You need to use your coils, shocks, trackbars.
The kit retails for 1895.99 (Bolt on long arm)

Next step will be to check labor costs.
Thanks again.
