Default Cooper Discoverer ST in winter?

Anyone run these through a winter yet, more specifically on hard packed snow or ice? I know they're a cross between a mud and all terrain, just wndering if they're any safer on ice than you're typical mud terrain. Also wondering the same thing about Pro Comp Xtreme AT's, although there newer so I doubt anyone here has driven them through a winter.

Thanks.

Bump.

I'm also looking at these tires since I can't get my 1st choice (Toyo M55s). The Cooper S/Ts can be studded, which should improve their hard-packed snow and ice performance quite a bit. I've heard various opinions about their wet surface handling though...

Anyone having used these in winter and/or wet surfaces care to post their opinion?

Thanks!
