Ok ended up going with the duratracks. Going on as I type. I do alot more road driving and they sound like they do better in the snow. Plus they were in stock and my free time is at a premium right now.

About 3000 on em now. Needed spacers with them but that's because of the rims. Very happy with the tires. Love the looks and handle very well in the rain. I can notice they are a little squirrely in the turns at speed. Not bad but more than my previous tires. Road noise is just enough to sound cool W/O being annoying. Can't wait for a chance to run them off road.

ID:	166981 Ran alot of AT and MT in the past, Duratac tires are great quite on the road and will dig all day, No real loss of power and Jeep Maintained stock handling.

Unless your offroad everday i would go with the durtracs

I forgot about this thread! Thanks Echo for bringing it back.

I got a great deal on some Hankook MT's back on February. Did more or less the same size as stock (275 65 R18 vs 255 70 R18) and I've put 10K miles on them since. Road manners are great, not really noisy and are great on mud. At 10K they seem to have lost very little meat, so I'm thinking I mat get 50K out them. Did loose about 1 MPH.

I am happy with my Duratracs. 3000 miles, still look like new. Very quiet on the road and most important for me: made in the USA! Cooper is a British company, not sure where they're manufactured.

duratracs and stt are not in the same catagory of tire. the st maxx and duratrac are. more aggressive AT tires. I have the maxx and they are great, loads of grip, look tough and have very great road manners.

I got a deal, as in "free", for the cooper, so I went with those. i traded my stock goofyears, a set of terra trac, and a set of hankook MT's for the new ST maxx, great deal in my books..

Hu. Tough decision there. But I believe that you mad a good call. Unless you actualy had to spend some $$$. My hard earned dollars went to Goodyear. I know that this is just a poser shot. But doesn't she look good.
