Default Corbeau or Mastercraft seats?

Hey guys! I'm starting my research on aftermarket seats. Corbeau or Mastercraft seats? And which specific model and why? Any and all opinions are welcome including pics :-)

Thx!

In for info. I haven't decided if I want to trim the foam in the factory front seats or upgrade. I like the Corbeau model that looks flat on the bottom, I don't like being "hugged" by the seat.

I think I'd like a seat with belts too, so I can get rid of the factory mounts. I hope you get some members to chime in with real info, I'm curious too!

I have the corbeau lg1 black micro suede. I really like these seats. I looked at a lot of seats before deciding. I know I wanted a reclining seat. And after much thought I decided on these. I will try to get some pics today for u with them in the jeep. The only thing I don't like is how the harness would mount in the 4 door. They mount on the sidewall next to the rear seat. Therefore it would be a pain if u had rear passengers. I got the regular seats not the wide. And if u r a little on heavy side it could be a tight fit. I'm pretty skinny at 5'9" 160lbs and theses seats r just about perfect for me. Installation was a breeze except removing the stock seat mounts. I hope this helps with Ur decision.

Please post some pictures . I have also been looking at the lg1 to do all four of my seats. Would they be to tall for the back seats. Sorry about stepping in.

Actually these seats r shorter than the stock ones. That's another reason I like these. Plus you sit a little lower than stock. So for us vertically challenged it could pose a problem but I have no problem with them.

Here is a link to some bad pics of my seats

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ht=mastercraft

For me it came down to looks. You can go to their website and build one in the color pattern you like but, be warned the prices are a lot higher than the basic colors they offer in stock. There are several threads on here with better pics of the mastercraft Baja RS seats. They also build the rear seat cover to match the pattern you chose for the front seats but, I did not want the same pattern; it would have been a wall of yellow in the back. I had to make several phone calls to make sure there was not a mistake. Or, you can have 4 individual seats.

Also look at twisted stitch seats.

I am happy with the seats and would spend the money again, no regrets.

Both of these are high quality seats and you can’t go wrong with either. If you are planning on using the four point harness (they are designed for them)? If so there is an illustration on the Corbeau website on how to mount them. The four points are the way to go in the dirt. I like the Master craft the Pro seat or for a little less of the side squeeze you can go with the Rubicon.
