Default Corbeau Seats and Harness

Hey everyone!

My driver's side seat belt has become unusable due to it being locked all the way in. I have called my dealership, and they say the warranty was only for 3 years/36,000 miles. If I can't get the seat belt fixed in the driveway (I hear a hammer may convince it to loosen up), I was consider putting in a harness (4 or 5 point) and some Corbeau seats. I've been reading up on the forum, but can't seem to come up with a clear answer. When I put the harness in (using a Rock Hard Harness Bar), is it safe to remove the old seat belt? (I've already talked to state inspectors and police officers, both have confirmed that it would still be street legal) I've heard different things. That if I remove the seat belts, the air bags may not function properly and may throw codes. Also, in regards to the aftermarket seats, are there sensors in the stock seats that get mounted to the new seats some how? If you've done this, what did you do to make it so the air bags still function, and no lights are on in the dash?

Thank you for you help!

Matt
