Default Corner armor--the plastic stuff any good?

I don't have the cash for the AEV or OrFab corners so I'm looking into the rugged ridge/body armor/bushehacker route plastic route.

Is the stick on stuff any good?
I would need to seal the edges with silicone to prevent dirt and gunk from settling behind the tape seams.

I have the of far tire carrier so I would need some slight modifications in whatever I buy..

Would love some thoughts and input please..
Thanks
Steve

Depends if you're protecting your corners from pebbles or boulders I guess.

If for looks, then bushwacker makes some pretty decent stuff that won't fall off, and easily removable when you're done with them without leaving any guck behind. Uses 3M adhesive.

Yeah-tge reality is that it's not gonna protect anything.. More to clean up some scrapes and dings.
