Default Correct Height Shock Height for Lifted JK and Handling

Awhile back, I bought Rancho RS9000XL shocks for my 2012 JKU lifted to 3.25" with a RC kit. They're pretty good shocks. I ended up choosing RS999332 (says for 3.5" lifts) for the rear and RS999331 (says for 4" lifts) for up front because they have the same travel length and other guys claim they used them for a similar lift height. I was younger and more foolish then so I don't know if that was really the correct way to choose shocks. Anyway, I believe I read somewhere not long ago, that JKs as stock, were designed with a slightly decreased front end height to improve handling, tracking and wind buffeting. Is that true? I'm wondering if I chose the wrong shocks and essentially leveled my front end and messed up my handling and steering characteristics. Can anyone wiser tell me if there's truth to any of this or not?

Stock JK's do have a slight rake but your shocks won't cause or create that that would be entirely on your coils.

A gas charged shock vs a emulsion shock can make a difference in the overall ride height, not a lot but it can. The factory sport use an emulsion shock with no gas charge, say if you were to go to a fox shock that typically run around 200 psi in them you might see a 1/2" difference in overall height on the same springs.
