Default Crager soft 8, 15" on 2011 jk....issues?

Hi...i was thinking of getting a set of 15" crager soft 8s, but heard there may be a rubbing issue? Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks!

A lot of people have dealt with this. It seems a lot of the 15" steel wheels rub a little resulting in either grinding down the caliper slightly or using spacers. If you want to go with a 15" wheel, I would suggest you look into an alloy wheel.

I put on a set of those last week. I had rubbing on both front brake caliper brackets. I had to grind about 1/16" off each bracket and then had to lightly grind the inside of each hole in the wheels.

The holes are punched inward and that's what rubs on the bracket.

I'm totally satisfied with the purchase though and not worried about my brakes one bit. On the way home from finishing it up my brakes were tested by a truck whose lights didn't work.

I would totally do it all over again.

BTW if you go this route and have the same amount of rub, don't forget to grind the holes on the spare wheel. You'll also need some daystar tailgate bump stops

Mine are also 4" bs. Got them from Discount Tire Direct on the forum here. I'm running the Cragar center cap and stock lug nuts.

I run these on my rig...I had rubbing issues, I opted to just add 1.25" spacers which are as thin as you can go, actually really love the slightly widened stance.

A little grinding of the calipers and I agree with the grinding of the eyelets on the wheels, actually think you could just grind the wheel if you want...they are steel after all...lil black semi-gloss and good to go.

I love that the Cragars are some of the cheapest wheels out there but definitely one of the best looking on a JK...I get so many compliments on my wheels! You will love them!

I bought some black locking lugs to go with it, spray painting the center caps black and putting them back on is on my to do list...ive seen it done and it looks good, gives it a clean factory look
