Cryoed axles worth it?
Anyone here ever get there axles cryoed? I got my Mitsu rear axles cyroed and they held up great to my driving style.
22psi on a 20g turbo and 12 sec. quarters on 3 bolt axles.(any Mitsu guys know how weak the 3 bolt axles are). Anyway I am tossing up the idea of cryoing my Dana 30 axles until I can get a 44 for the front. I am planning on some 36's real soon like in couple weeks soon and need my axles to hold up till summer.

Never heard of it before but I'd sure be interested in seeing the results. What is the pricing on something like that. I'm holding off on the new axles/lockers till next spring, the money is pretty tight. If it's somewhat reasonable I may look into the cryo as a temporary solution.
Got a buddie that has his axles and gears done in his toyota. He has been trying to kill them and has not. I think they came from Longfield. They come with an awesome warranty. If you break them the company replaces them. So its the last set of axles or gears you have to buy. The cost is the kicker. I think he said he paid about $700 to do the front and another $700 for the rear. Thats alot, but not bad if - you break it,,,,he bought it.
It was only 100 bucks for my 2 rear axle shafts on the Mitsu. They were not that big and probably didnt weigh but 30 lbs though. Can someone tell me the length and weight of the front axles. Rears also. If the jeep is goin to be down I should do rears also just for safety.
I know of guys doing it with success (not on the JK though). How much does it cost? If the $700 price mentioned above holds true for the JK then that's half way to a Rubicon front D44. That being the case I would just wait if you know you'll be ready to do the D44 this summer anyways.
