Yes. Of course have to wire up locker switch and such and make sure their abs/ESP sensors aren't messed up. But on paper and in theory. Will work just fine with no mods needed

I wouldn't if you stay under 35's because of the lockers already installed. You will have to spend close to 900 or more to put a locker in the 44.

I actually agree. If u plan on staying with 35s or under then how u described your 30, you will be fine. I run 35s on stock like 30 and wheel hard with no problems. I am waiting till it blows up so I can put a pro rock 44 and 37s or 38s. No point on putting money in something u want to replace. So the question is, where or what do u plan on doing with your jeep for future mods.

Let me try and understand if I get a rubicon Dana 44 with 5.13's. I can't just put it into my JK? I can't just replace (swap) my Dana 30 for the rubicon 44?
So Yes - if it is a rubi 44 from a 'JK', it is a direct swap and will bolt right in.
If it a 44 from a previous model jeep, it is not a direct swap.
No - an ARB from a d30 will NOT work in a rubi44. Your ONLY options are a factory elocker replacement ( appx $1200), a 35spline ARB AND 35spline axle shafts, or a 35spline Ected AND 35spline axle shafts.
As noted in the last post, the 35sp arb with 35sp shafts will cost a bit more, but it is arguably the 'best' option.
Another note that was touched on earlier - the jk d30 and d44 use the same basic housing, the only difference is the center section on the 44 is larger to fit the larger gears. (same length, C's, tube diameter, tube thickness, etc) So any strength upgrades you would want for your current 30, you will also want for the 44.
