Custom Truss and Bolted front Diff Cover to Truss
Well this is what ya gotta do when ya "pop the tubes" (axle tubes come loose from differential third member (pumpkin)on the front axle). My tires were like this /-\ so I chained and used a 20 ton jack to straightened the front tubes and got the front tires like this l l and then welded in the truss and bolted the front diff cover to the truss.

Yeah BTF with top portion cut down so it would fit on the truss which was also modified and added to. On the lower truss it runs from Lower C brace to lower C brace. Upper truss just runs from Differential to Upper control arm bracket on Passeneger side and to coil spring perch on driver side. Welded tubes to Third member housing. Those tubes are not going anywhere!
Thanks Jae Suite, I wish I would have done this in the begining b4 I had put on the 40's. I know when I did this. It was when I came off a ledge and bounced, about 3 foot drop off with front tires locked up tires skidding on avery steep down hill. I heard a "snap" and every since then my front tires where like this /-\ ,,,,,, I throw this out there so you guys might think about doing this if you are wheelin your stuff kinda hard cause hose tubes will come loose and your tires will start to bow out at the bottom.
Thanks Jeep07, It was the 40's and the spacers and from comin off of ledges out here at a place called the coves near Saquaro lake. Theres some hills out there that have drop offs that run laterally across the hill (long steep hills) and when you try to come down the hills there are big drop offs. Your tires will be locked up but you skid down, no stoppin, thats when I heard the snap.

Andrew, I'm havin fun and learnin all at the same time, Ya can't beat that, this is an on-going experiment, I'm even surprising myself almost every weekend. I'm gonna run these Dana 44's till they can't give no more. I'm half tempted to run a bead of weld around the tubes to the housing on the back axle also. They do make a nice truss for our rear axle.
I know you run the crap out those 44s and then they won't be good for anything. I just hate to have you break down in the middle of nowhere with not cb or phone reception. At least the Coves have some good offroad traffic, but a lot of other places you may have to wait a few days to glimpse anyone.
