Default Cut-n-Turn C's for caster and pinion angle.

Has anyone cut and turned the steering knuckles while adding a sleeve kit/ gusset kit? I am thinking of doing this to achieve 8-9 degrees caster while having a good pinion angle. If anyone has done it, where did you cut the housing or did you rotate the C's themselves? Did the C's rotate easily once you cut out the welds? Did you remove the axle from the Jeep or leave it in to have some leverage to rotate them? I have played around with my caster(with my hubs unlocked) finding that my jeeps drives great with around 10 degrees(measured on an alignment machine) of caster. I am running 7.5 degrees now but have some vibrations in 4WD/hubs locked that I would like to resolve. Thanks in advance.

every time I seen it done you leave the axle under the jeep. Cut the welds on the "c" take a bfh and smack it till you get it where you want in. I would support the weight of the jeep on the axle and not the frame to get a true measurement. Then reweld the of course while not warping anything
