Default Cutting Corners ???

Was wondering if any one has cut those corners in front of the rear tires on the rocker panel, and knows whats in there. Reason is, is that I am trading from 35's to a 37x13.50R17 Toyo's and I am a little concerned if that's going to be to close to the tire. I have a 3" TF lift and tube fenders, looks like there is plenty of room, except in that area of the corner protrusion.

Thanks

Pretty standard operation for the guys with big tires and small lifts. I'm looking forward cutting the pinch seam myself when I finally get my rocker guard/tub skins.

From the tutorials Ive read you don't want to cut too much off or you may have water or mud get in the creases leading to trouble down the road. I had mine cut by Screamin' Lizard when they installed the lift. They didn't cut the corner off, just cut the metal that was in the way. I've also seen Jeeps with them cut and pounding down the seam with a hammer.

And here I thought this was going to be another thread about Chrysler getting cheap on us

Yes, trimming the pinch seam is very common. I used a pneumatic cut-off tool to trim mine. I took off about 1 or 2 inches, just enough to pull the pinch seam back behind my rubi rails which I also trimmed down by 2 inches.
