Default D-rings

I just received my Viking D-rings with the 7/8 pin and they seem to flop around in the holes. I have the AEV bumper and the hole seems to be about and inch. Are they supposed to just flop around or kinda be tight in the hole (insert joke here)? Thanks!!

Get some ballcock shank washers from the plumbing section of your local home improvement store. They work great for tightening up D rings.
