Default Daily driving to 35" or 37" ????

Hello,
This is my 1st post. I have read many posts and probably could have found my answer, but I figured I needed to start a post at some point.
Anyway, I have a 2007 Sahara Wrangler and have had it for 2 years. I bought my 17" DC-2 rims and they were delivered last week. I have planned to go 35" all along. But, on many threads I have seen where some of you are going to go 37" at next tire change. I drive my Jeep every day about 30 miles in the city. I do want to go as large as possible, but want it to be driveable on the hwy. I haven't bought the lift kit yet either and that's my next investment, then tires. Then again, I'm thinking about going into my savings to do it all at once, including a bumper and winch, gears and driveshafts.
Thanks alot for any advice. If money is no object, what size should I go with?

If you're considering 37's then I'd worry that you won't be satisfied with 35's becuase jeeps are a drug and you always want more. I got 35's but mostly because 37's and all the mods that go with it are much more expensive (and the wife is short)

Since money isn't a major issue I'd vote 37's. Regearing will help make it so you can drive easy on the freeway.

Thanks guys. So, now I'm on the verge of going 37". God, I hope if I make it to that decision, I don't start contemplating 41"s

Anyway, I know all about the wife thing, but I am now an "EX" and have an "EX" so now I can play! I do have a girlfriend though, but she is all country and mud! I gottta keep her just girlfriend until I can get all my toys up to par.

KM2 37s" are $480. Goodness, it sure does cost to have more fun.

Now I just need to rethink my lift kit...

ha you guys are acting like 35's are small tires! ya noticable difference but it all depends on lift size rim size or if its a 2 or 4 door. With a 2 door 35s look great with like a 3" lift. With a 4 door i would go with 37's and 4-4.5 inch lift. Plus depends on how much money you got. Also because u have a sahara a 37 would put a lot more stress and ware in your dana 30 then 35's. like i said it all depends.

You've got two things to consider:

1.The anemic 3.8L: Depending on your driving habits and expectations the 37's can be a source of frustration on the road.

2. The D30 front axle: You will need to be more aware of you push the front axle off road with 37s, although even 35s can cause some parts to fail.

Mkjeep is right. It is an endless pursuit of "size matters".

I would definitely go with 37's, or find a tire that will be close to that ( Like some Super Swampers measure a tad bigger then their advertised size). I know I wont be happy until i get a set.

They might even be less if special ordered from your local Costco or Sams Club.

SWEET! I can't remember where I saw that $480 price, maybe it was retail cost and the company was going to discount that like all of them do. Thanks alot for the link.

I went with 35's and still had to make mods to keep things right. Probably spent less than I would have going 37's. But I am very happy with performance and looks.
For me if I think of 37's it's almost a peer presure thing more than a need thing. And I have never been a follower. So I think I will be staying with 35's until I feel I really need more.
