If you do the procedure in the manual, do you have to redo it every time you restart the Jeep or does it stay off until reset?

Thanks,

You have to repeat the steps to turn it back on.

Thanks for the replies. And this procedure will completely turn off the ESC system so the brakes wont be grabbing on hills anymore? Does it turn off the "hill start assist" system too?

Thanks,

Flash

Your brakes wont grab any more. I dont know about the hill start assist I have a auto trans. The only thing that stayes on is your ABS. I turned mine off because I went with bigger tires and every time I pulled into a driveway i could feel my brakes grab. And the ESP will also not let spin your tires in the dirt or do donuts! This is only for 08 09.

Hello, my 11 JK rubicon is not responding to the steps here for disabling the Esc! It indicates the escoff only when the light comes on and it is held for 5-7 sec. It does not stay on and leave the light and message on? Anyone else try this on a 2011 machine?

Thanks,
Brian
