Default DANA 30 with 5.13's gear ratios your comments!!

Hi All .
There was a thread a while ago with some info on this but I would like
to know current info on those who have a DANA 30 front diff and changed their
ratios to 5.13 (Superior R&P's).
How is it holding up, any probs etc, comments, regrets??

Thanks in advance .

No problems. No regrets. They seem to be holding up well, for now. I'm ever concious of my tire size/gear/dana30 combo when I run offroad. I have run 7 and 8 difficulty trails here in Colorado without a problem. On the street, we move right along....

So 35s would be a safer option than the 37s right?

In general, the bigger the tire, the more chance there is of breakage... people have run 37's on the D30, but you'd probably at least want to upgrade your shafts at some point.

Thanks for that.
I was leaning towards the 35's possibly the Mickey T MTZ 35x12.5x17.
Anyone else like to offer more advice ?
