Default Dana 60 prices

Those of you that have upgraded to Dana 60s, what deal did you get on your axles?
If you have been shopping around, what's the best price you have been given so far on purchasing both D60 axles?

Paying over 10k for a couples of axles seems crazy, if I could get them both for 8k I would go ahead & do it. I'd love to see what people are paying for them, what deals/prices they are getting.

Please give info on brand, options etc.

there are additional choices that will be available in the near future from a company called river raider. they are working on kits for retro fitting old D60's and 14 bolt setups, as well as bolt in ready to go set ups.. Id wait and see what they do before pulling the trigger, these additional options will be more affordable than the high dollar stuff available now. and yes their new options will play nicely with the ABS and electrics on the JK.

That sounds great. I'll give them a call today and check in. Maybe it might bring the price down on the existing products available.

Anyone else out there pay less than 10k for your D60 setup?

I asked a local shop about this. He hadn't heard anything, but he picked up the phone and called Mr River Raider to ask. Apparently we may see a 2+k savings on the rear axle, but the fronts will likely be in line with the other current vendors prices. (something about king pins, cutting and turning, etc...) Didn't get any kind of a time frame on them, but saving a few grand may be worth a wait of a few months.

some of the 60's use 44 shafts, just make sure you check into the axles first

If the current vendors were smart, they'd do a big promotional sale now to try and get people to
"buy up" before these other products come to market. Atleast that's what I would & have done before in the past.

I dont think to many people will buy conversion kits, when its all said and done, your not to far from a new 60 anyhow..

Most people cant weld axles, set up gears etc. its not cheap to have them built
