Default dana 60 question

i have a chance to get front a rear dana 60's for my jeep, but i am not sure if it would be worth it. i have 2 main concerns, 1. will my jk have enough power with the stock engine? and 2. how big of a project is it installing them?

Engine power isn't the greatest concearn, you just need to gear the axles to 5.13/5.38, depending on tire size.

Yes it's worth it, under the right circumstances, they will last a very very long time with hardly any breakages (if you manage to somehow break them).

If you buy a D60 set that's made for the JK, that means all the brackets are already welded on the housing to accept the JK suspension and steering setup. If you're mechanically enclined and know how to set pinion angles, suspension setup and steering setup, you can install them yourself.

never having to worry about breaking axle-joints would be nice

Not necessarily true...If you go with the "pre-built" JK 60's you'll get them in the 5-lug flavor.
