Default Dash Mats

OK.... I am asking under thos forum in the guise that it is for protection of my JK!!!

Does anyone know if dash mats have been formed yet for the JK? As soon as I get mine I want to be able to protect the interior as best I can considering this is my first new car (other have been used vehicles).

Thanks for not killing me for asking a dumbass question or if I posted in the wrong place!

Haven't seen anything on them..
This style is too new for them to come out with that yet..
I suggest getting a piece of wetsuit material to fit as it will probably be easy to cut and will lay flatter..

I hope you ordered the "tow" package in there.. or is that part of the "Renegade" package??

I think this is what your talking about, they are called husky molded floor liners. Instead of just sitting on the floor, they have 4 sides to keep slush and water inside the mat instead of spilling all over the interior.

i don't think that is it.
they are literally looking for dash mats.
it is those carpet pieces that are custom cut to sit on top of the dash to protect the plastic dash.

i personal don't like the look of them. i would rather just clean and protect them with 303 on a regular basis. my tj is 10 years old and has sat in the sun a lot. there are some places that show fade but overall the dash isn't too bad. i also have not been religous about protectant.

Good morning tjworld..

Have you ever heard of "Super Blue" ?? You use it all over the jeep vinyl inside and out etc. Goes a very long way..
Recommended by my friend who has a custom Detail Business.. Says WAY better than Armor-all etc.

I just put a large light colored towel over the dash top. The two tweeters hold it in nicely, and it keeps the dash cooler.

i'll second the neoprene. with some spray adhesive backing, well, i'm not into dash covers at all, but you could do some neat interior customizing with it.
